Overall, Majesty received an ESRB rating of E for Everyone.Ĭyberlore Studios was responsible for developing the game. Even the Windows Phone saw a release on March 23rd, 2012. Later in the year was an iOS release on August 12th.
There was an Android release on January 20th, 2011. Surprisingly, there was also a trio of mobile releases. Come March 2012, the game was re-released as Majesty Gold HD Edition, including support for higher resolutions as well as a pair of downloadable quests that were previously incompatible with the initial release of Majesty: The Northern Expansion. Majesty Gold Edition, bundling together the core game and The Northern Expansion, was released in January 2002 with a Linux port for the Gold edition in April 2003. Majesty had The Northern Expansion… well, expansion released in March 2001. The initial release was in 2000, with the Windows release in March and a Mac OS port in December. Majesty: The Fantasy Kingdom Sim only saw North American releases. What you have at your disposal is the kingdom’s gold and places to spend it. Even with magic involved, you wouldn’t have intimate control over your army, let alone hired mercenaries, that roam your kingdom. Though it is also an RTS, it is also a simulation of being the monarch of a kingdom in a fantasy world.
I will admit to not being the greatest multitasker, which is another reason why I like dabbling in Majesty.
As awesome as the Real Time Strategy genre can be, I personally find something a little off about being able to directly control the actions of every single unit in my army, be it individually or in platoons.
